Black Pepper Cookies

Ingredient :
2 1/2 c All purpose flour
1 c Buttermilk
1/2 ts Salt
1 tb Coarse cracked black pepper
1/2 ts Baking soda
3/4 c Shortening
1 tb Baking powder
How To …
Preheat oven to 450-500F. Sift 2 cups of the flour with baking powder, salt, pepper and baking soda in a bowl. Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender or fork, or work with it in the fingers. Add buttermilk to make a soft dough, mixing until dough holds together. Flour your hands. Take a piece of dough about the size of a biscuit and dip it in the wet aboard extra flour. The pat roll or biscuit. Place lightly touched on baking sheet lightly greased. Bake until golden golden. 8-10 minutes. This bread recipes could serve up to twelve people.
