Ingredients :
2 Eggs, Lg
1/2 ts Salt
4 Cheddar Cheese,Slices thick
1/3 c Milk Or Soft Cream
8 White Bread, Slices
3 tb Butter
Mustard, Prepared
How To …
Arrange a big iron cooking stove or grille. Beat up the eggs gently in a pie tin or shallow bowl and add together milk or cream and salt, set aside. Spread bread slices on a work surface plane. Spread one side of four slices of bread lightly with the prepared mustard. Top each with a slice of cheddar cheese. Butter the other four slices of bread and cheese top of each slice of bread, butter down. Heat butter in the pan or on grill. Dip each sandwich carefully in the egg mixture, coating both sides. Let the egg mixture excess flow into the bowl. Soak only as sandwiches will lie flat in the pan or grill. Cook over low heat until golden. Turn and brown the other side. Repeat for the remaining sandwiches and, if necessary, add more butter to the pan or grill to prevent sticking. Or you can put the sandwich, after dipping on a hotplate well greased and brown in oven at 450 degrees F. For 8 to 10 minutes. Serve hot. Could serve for four people.
