Irish Wheaten Bread

Ingredient :
3 c Flour, whole wheat
1 c Flour, all purpose
1/2 ts Nutmeg, grated
1 ts Orange rind, grated
1 ts Baking soda
2 c Buttermilk
1/2 ts Salt
How To …
In a large bowl, combine whole wheat and all-purpose flours, baking soda, salt and nutmeg. Make a well in center, add the buttermilk and orange zest. Mix until the dough is soft but not sticky. Turn the dough out onto lightly floured surface. Knead 10 times. Put the dough into greased 8 x 4 in (1.5 L) loaf pan with. Bake at 350F (180C) for 20 minutes. Reduce temperature to 300F/150C, cook 25 to 30 minutes or until a cake tester inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Turn onto a grid. This bread recipes could make for a dish.
