Milky Maple Cookies

Ingredient :
2 c Sifted flour
3 ts Baking powder
5 tb Shortening
1/2 ts Salt
2/3 c Milk

Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening until the mixture is finer maize flour. Add milk, mix until soft dough is formed. Knead lightly floured board for about 20 seconds. Roll about 1 / 4 inch thick and spread with soft butter. Now spread half the dough very generously to the sugar maple that have been scraped the bucket. Fold the other half of the dough in half the butter sweet. Cut into 1-inch squares and place close together in buttered baking pan. Cook rapidly to 450 F. For 15 minutes. This bread recipes could serve sixteen people.
