Saint Yeast Cookies

Ingredient :
5 c Plain flour
1 Cake yeast
3 ts Baking powder
1 c Shortening
2 c Buttermilk
1 ts Soda
4 tb Sugar
1 ts Salt
2 tb Lukewarm water
How To …
Dissolve yeast in water. In a bowl, sift flour with the other dry ingredients. Cut in shortening, add the buttermilk, then add yeast mixture. Stir in flour until all the shock absorbers. Knead on floured board a minute, a roller to the desired thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter. Bake at 400 degrees about 12 minutes. Dough can be stored in the refrigerator and used about a week. This bread recipes could serve for one dish.
